Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran presides over Jamil Jalibi Literary Award ceremony


Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Learning at Punjab University Lahore, presided over the second Jamil Jalibi Literary Award ceremony, held at the University of Karachi. The event was organized in collaboration with the Jamil Jalibi Foundation and Punjab University Lahore.
In his address, Professor Dr. Kamran congratulated the awardees and paid tribute to the legendary Dr. Jamil Jalibi, describing him as a symbol of Pakistan's rich literary and cultural heritage.

Professor Dr. Kamran also acknowledged the contributions of Dr. Khawar Jamil, Professor Dr. Zia-ul-Hassan(former Chairman of Jamil Jalibi research chair, Institute of Urdu, University of the Punjab)and Muhammad Naeem, Secretary of the Jamil Jalibi Literary Award Committee.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including head of Jamil Jalibi Chair, University of the Punjab,Dr. Arifa Iqbal, Dr. Khawar Jamil; Mr. Jalal Meghani; and Professor Naushaba Siddiqui. In their speeches, they highlighted various aspects of Dr. Jamil Jalibi's remarkable literary contributions, celebrating his enduring legacy in Pakistan's literary landscape.
